Humanities, culture, and digital presence: How we support Fiatalok Konferenciája

Digital support behind an academic community in literary studies

At Marketing Puzzle, we have always believed that creative and technological expertise becomes truly valuable when it supports causes that reach beyond everyday business goals. A brand identity, website, or digital system is not merely a communication tool: it can make communities more visible, create space for meaningful dialogue, and help important initiatives move forward.

That is why we are especially proud that, since 2024, our marketing agency has been contributing to the development of Fiatalok Konferenciája, now for several years as a supporting partner. Fiatalok Konferenciája, also known as FiKon, is a student-led initiative that offers BA, MA, and PhD students the opportunity to present their research topics and publish their scholarly work.

FiKon is more than just a conference: it is a valuable platform and an inspiring environment that supports the academic development, presentation skills, publication opportunities, and community connections of young researchers. Its core values – knowledge sharing, exchange of ideas, openness, collaboration, and professional curiosity – are deeply meaningful to our team as well.

Website, branding, and technical support

In supporting FiKon, we contributed to the development of the conference’s communication and technical background on multiple levels: we refreshed the visual identity, created a website, restructured the digital content architecture, and improved online visibility through effective, search-optimized content. The goal was not simply to create a more modern appearance. We wanted to build a digital presence that helps prospective participants find information more easily, makes the application and information-seeking process more transparent, and provides a sustainable long-term system for the organizing team, whose members may change from year to year.

During the development of the new website, we therefore paid particular attention to structured content and responsive design. A key requirement was that users should be able to quickly find the call for papers, programme, application-related information, and materials from previous events. We treated information architecture as a primary priority, allowing visitors to navigate the site smoothly – whether they are checking the current programme or looking for academic materials from earlier years.

As part of the branding process, we also designed a visual communication system that closely reflects FiKon’s literary studies focus and community-building spirit. The new logo, graphics, social media templates, and other visual materials were created to help the conference appear more consistently, recognizably, and professionally across both online and offline platforms.

A coherent online presence in service of academic values

For an academic and cultural initiative in the humanities, visual and digital communication plays a particularly important role. It is not simply a matter of making a website look modern or designing an aesthetically pleasing logo. A coherent online presence, intuitive user interface, and unified brand identity build trust, make information easier to access, and help the community convey its values more clearly.

Through the digital renewal, website development, and consistent brand identity, our aim was to ensure that the academic quality represented by FiKon would also be reflected online. A transparent website supports the orientation of participants, speakers, session chairs, and partners, while also reducing the workload of the organizers. Furthermore, with long-term usability in mind, we developed a framework that is easy to adapt and flexible enough to grow with the conference in the coming years.

Humanities, community, and enduring values

Our collaboration with FiKon connects us with an initiative that empowers young scholars to present their work in a professional setting, receive feedback from fellow researchers, build valuable connections, and gain publication experience. We are proud to be part of this inspiring community through website development, branding, search engine optimization, and essential technical support.

We believe that supporting cultural and academic initiatives enriches our collective future – especially when professional expertise, creative thinking, and digital tools join forces to serve a noble cause. Moving forward, we remain committed to projects that create social value and foster community. Such collaborations remind us that online presence comes with responsibility: it is an opportunity for meaningful initiatives to reach a wider audience in a more organized and impactful way.
